Suitable for anyone who is new to Yoga, recovering from an injury.. or for those who simply want to take it slowly. We love beginners! Our Basics classes are popular with a wide range of people, ages, & abilities. If you are relatively new to yoga or simply want to enjoy a slower pace with a longer relaxation this is the perfect class for you.
Pilates is a low impact exercise programme that strengthens your body, increases mobility and improves posture. The practice of Pilates increases core stability, helping with problems associated such as lower back pain and poor posture, building muscle strength, stamina and overall fitness. Training gives you body awareness and the tools to look after your body in all aspects of your life. Ideal for all levels, including Beginners.
Yoga is an ancient practice combining movement with breathing. By practising Yoga, the mind, body and emotions can all be rebalanced in a natural and soothing way. Our general classes are Hatha Yoga classes which use classic Yoga Asanas (postures) to promote flexibility, strength and relaxation in the body, and Pranayama (breathwork) to calm the mind. Suitable for everyone, regardless of experience. Beginners are welcome providing you have no injury.
Our Sunday morning Bliss Yoga Flow (Dynamic) class is for perfect for those looking for a slightly stronger practice. Ideal for those who are established in their Yoga practice or those specifically wanting to build strength.
Our hot studio is heated using the latest Infrared Technology! Infrared heat warms the body (rather than the air) letting you experience a more breathable and therapeutic work out. Humidity and oxygen levels are also controlled. This gives an experience as close to practicing yoga outside on a hot summer day as is possible for an indoor space. Breathing and a guided relaxation is also part of our hot Yoga class. Ideal for those who have tried Yoga before, but can be modified for beginners. We guarantee you will finish your practice feeling exhilarated and refreshed!
Ashanga Yoga is a strong, dynamic practice and can be modified for Beginners. Our weekly Ashtanga Yoga practice focuses on controlled breathing (Ujaii Pranayama), synchronised with the sequence of postures (Asana), and direction of the gaze to specific points (Dristi). These three elements form Tristana; the tri-fold focus which enables the practice to become a flowing, moving, graceful meditation.
Our Monday Evening Kundalini Yoga Class is an uplifting blend of emotional and physical practices, which incorporates movement, dynamic breathing techniques, meditation and the chanting of mantras. Suitable for all.
A wonderful way to start your weekend! This Friday night class lit by candles soothes away any stresses from the working week. A great class which focuses on relaxation and unwinding your mind.. leave your cares at the door and JUST BE! Suitable for all.
Our Mindfulness Classes run once a month. We use simple calming practices to encourage awareness of the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting feelings and thoughts. Suitable for all.
Our Meditate & Yoga Nidra classes are held fortnightly and are led by our Meditation teacher Anja Torrika. Experience the wonderful power of Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) and a guided Meditation in this very special class. Suitable for all. We recommend you bring a blanket to keep yourself arm and comfortable throughout.
It is no co-incidence that the rise of stress-related illnesses has been phenomenal over recent years. The pace of modern life, the pressure we allow ourselves to feel under and our high material expectations dominate our lives. How can we really feel relaxed if this is our starting point? The good news is that the negative effects of our modern lives can be eased with regular relaxation sessions. Many clients often comment on how relaxed they become and how deeply they sleep after a yoga or pilates session.
Our sessions will help you not only to maintain your health, but also bring peace and freedom to the body, heart and mind of you and your child. We use simple Yoga movement, breathing, visualisation and deep relaxation techniques to give mums-to-be the most wonderful experience of Yoga during pregnancy.
We are insured from day one of pregnancy in this class. If you are 14 weeks and beyond you may attend Beginners Yoga & Meditation classes but you must inform Reception & the class teacher on arrival.
We also offer a Preparation for Birth Workshop for Mums to Be (and their birthing partners).
For Mums and their babies aged 8 weeks to 8 months. Our Monday morning Baby Yoga & Massage Class is designed to encourage bonding, aids baby’s development, vestibular system (balance/ co-ordination) & sensory stimulation. Click here for more information.
We meet every two months on a Sunday evening at the studio for our free Positivity & Wellbeing Events. View our next event here.
