Welcome to Sandstone Yoga & Pilates!
This Christmas we are supporting The Big Feed with their winter project.
The Big Feed is a project run by Walsall Community Church and other local churches whose aim is to help support the homeless, vulnerable and under-privileged people of Walsall and surrounding areas.
We will be collecting winter essentials at the studio and we're asking for donations of:
Good condition second hand coats
Good condition second hand sleeping bags
Brand new underpants, warm socks, gloves and hats (thinsulate are best)
We have until Tuesday 20th December 2016 to pull together our collection so if you are generously able to provide any of the above and deliver to the studio we would really appreciate it. Unfortunately we are not able to accept any other items of clothing other than those listed above.
If you are able to offer a few hours of your time on a Sunday, The Big Feed would love to hear from you. Every Sunday they provide food, showers and friendship to between 90-110 homeless people in the Walsall area.
Volunteers help to prepare and serve the meals. Serve drinks, cakes/biscuits.Talk and listen to guests.
Volunteers usually work on a rota basis, once per month for between 2 and 4 hours to suit themselves. All sessions are run by 2 or more experienced core leaders.
Michelle volunteered some of her time recently here's a link to a video from that day https://splice.gopro.com/v?id=6yDJzr
If you are interested, would like more info, or would like to come and see what they do, contact John Hopcroft at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you all for your support X
Bliss also sponsors Walsall Junior Athletics team.
We run free Positivity & Wellbeing sessions every two months. All are welcome and many bring names of people in need of healing. You can also leave names in our gold book in Reception.
Details of our next event to follow soon.
Please note, that these are FREE events, but we do ask that those who wish to come along to please book their place online. Abhaya Rupa & Michelle Nicklin will lead the event. All are welcome, including young children who can concentrate.
